I was born and raised in Southern California, primarily in Orange County. I received my undergraduate education at Seattle Pacific University where I studied Economics, Honors Liberal Arts, and Mathematics. While at SPU, I made deep friendships that have persisted to today, and most importantly, I met my wife, Madison. We were married in May 2020 during the height of the COVID pandemic in her parents’ front lawn in the summer before our senior year of college. After graduation, I began my Ph.D. in Economics at the University of California, Riverside, and I successfully defended my dissertation on September 4, 2025, just five days before our first son, Elijah, was born. During the 2025-2026 school year, I was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics at Pepperdine University, which was an amazing experience. As of June 2026, my family has moved to Clovis near my wife’s very large family, so I can serve as an Assistant Professor of Business at FPU!

My research is in Financial Economics; namely, in studying the strategic consequences of modeling serial dependence in asset returns. This was borne out in my dissertation through modeling asset prices as fractional Brownian motion, theoretically solving optimal buy/sell prices with respect to expected return objective functions unique to particular baseline strategies, and finally empirical back-testing with historical price data. My research suggests that portfolio alpha can be significantly increased with such modeling. I intend to continue finding theoretical and empirical improvements to baseline (technical) strategies through modeling asset prices as non-Markovian (i.e., as fBm) and in the future as non-Gaussian (e.g., Pareto distribution). The hope is that such research can lead to real profits, which can be given to Christ through His Church and His ministries for His glory.

In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, cycling, hiking, reading, dating my wife, and playing with my son. We are part of St. Peter the Apostle Serbian Orthodox Church in 91¿´Æ¬.
